What I can help with
Some of the issues I can help with include:
Anxiety, Bereavement, Cultural issues/Diversity, Depressed mood, Identity issues, Transition and Loss, Relational difficulties, Issues with low self-worth, Stress, Traumatic experiences, Work-related stress.
Anxiety
Anxiety can be experienced in lots of different ways. If you are having regular or uncontrollable worries about many different things in your everyday life, you may be experience generalised anxiety.
If your worries are more specific, you may have an anxiety related disorder, such as health anxiety, panic, perinatal anxiety, social anxiety, obsessive-compulsive anxiety or a specific phobia.

Depression
We all have experienced times when our mood is low, and we feel sad or fed up. Often these feelings happen for a reason and pass on their own.
However, you may need professional help, if the depression is difficult to shift and/or your feelings become so bad that they interfere with our daily life, lasting for several weeks or months.
Traumatic experiences
Trauma means ‘wound’ and we all experience stressful, frightening or distressing events. Depending on the degree of distress, it may become difficult to cope on our own and professional help may be indicated. It could be one incident, or an ongoing event that happens over a prolonged period of time.
Most of us will experience at least one and often more than one event during our lives that could be considered traumatic.
However we won't all be affected the same way. Trauma can happen at any age. And it can affect us at any time, including a long time after the event had happened.
For some people, experiencing trauma can lead to developing post-traumatic stress anxiety (PTSD). PTSD can involve experiencing flashbacks or nightmares which can feel as if like you are re-living all the fear and anxiety you had experienced at the time of the traumatic event.
